Program Information

In its fourth season, our Run, Jump, Throw program was founded to provide more sport pathways for our region's youth.

The goal is to deliver a fun, structured, development-first program that will introduce athletes to track and field and help them apply fundamental movement skills to other individual and team sports.

The cost is $150, taxes included, and athletes receive a shirt with registration.

There are a maximum of 25 spots available and spaces will only be saved for athletes who have both registered and paid in full.

Program Details

The program runs end of June to mid-August.

Who? Girls and boys ages 6 to 12 will be grouped for age-appropriate skill development

What? Run, Jump, Throw (beginner track and field) with multi-sport elements

When? Wednesdays, June-August 20, 6:00 to 7:00

Where? Amherst Regional High School, Amherst, Nova Scotia

Running Coaches

Elita Rahn is an Athletics Nova Scotia trained Sport Coach and is our lead athletics coach. 

Alison Lair is trained as a Run, Jump, Throw instructor through Athletics Nova Scotia.

Jumping Coaches

Mike King is trained as a Run, Jump, Throw instructor through Athletics Nova Scotia and is our lead jumping coach.

Liza Myers is trained as a Run, Jump, Throw instructor through Athletics Nova Scotia.

Throwing Coaches

Laoghan Hendra is trained as a Run, Jump, Throw instructor through Athletics Nova Scotia.

Coach Cadets

Coach Cadets are energetic and experienced male and female youth coaches who are passionate about sport and who will provide positive examples to athletes, either with their athletic abilities or leadership.

Taylor Laceby: Lead Coach Cadet with Run, Jump, Throw and Make Ethical Decisions coach training.

James Laceby: Lead Coach Cadet with Run, Jump, Throw, Make Ethical Decisions and Fundamental Movement Skills coach training.

Colton Caballero: Lead Coach Cadet with Run, Jump, Throw coach training.
